Da Kylie ad Elvis le celebrità che sono diventate, per propria scelta o loro malgrado, un giocattolo.
Kylie Minogue è solo la più recente in ordine di tempo. L'australiana diva del pop infatti non è la prima e non sarà di certo l'ultima delle grandi star dello spettacolo che diventano dei bambolotti.
Le Kylie Doll, che hanno nomi suggestivi come "Silver Nemesis" e "World Music Awards", non potevano però certo essere dei pupazzi qualunque. Difatti, oltre ad essere particolarmente somiglianti all'originale dal punto di vista delle caratteristiche fisiche (per riprodurre il bel visino di Kylie si è usato un complesso sistema di scansione 3D), la bambola è corredata di un guardaroba che non sfigurerebbe nella cameretta di ogni teenager "fashion victim" che si rispetti. Gli abitini infatti sono fedeli riproduzioni dei modelli originali, disegnati apposta per Kylie da Dolce&Gabbana.
La stessa pop star "aussie" ha affermato che il progetto della Kylie Doll era in cantiere da tempo, e di essere molto soddisfatta del risultato finale. Contenta Kylie, contenti tutti!
Ma come già si è detto, la regina del pop è in buona compagnia.
Da quando esiste la musica come fenomeno di massa giovanile, quindi dagli anni '50 in poi, molti sono stati gli artisti che hanno prestato la loro immagine a improbabili quanto divertenti "Barbie e Big Jim del rock".
Iniziamo da lui, dal re per eccellenza, sua maestà Elvis Presley. Ci sono bambolotti di ogni tipo, che raffigurano "the king" in ogni momento della sua vita: agli inizi della carriera con ciuffo impomatato, in divisa militare, con i pantaloni a zampa e le giacche con le frange ormai sul viale del tramonto.
Non possono mancare i Beatles, che tra le miriadi di gadget a cui hanno prestato la faccia, non hanno potuto schivare il bambolotto. Abbiamo quindi, tra gli altri, pupazzi in giacca, cravatta e "caschetto" di rito in perfetto stile "Help", oppure in divisa multicolor e baffoni alla "Sergent Pepper".
Persino "The Voice" per antonomasia, Frank Sinatra, è diventato una bambola, prodotta dalla Mattel, la mitica casa che confeziona l'altrettanto mitica Barbie.
Inutile dire che anche la "material girl" del pop è presente: Madonna infatti non poteva certo sottrarsi a questo che ormai è diventato un vero e proprio rito.
Ma l'elenco è lungo e variegato: si passa da Justin Timberlake con tutti gli N'Sync a Christina Aguilera, dall'arrabbiato Eminem alla sexy Shakira, da Britney Spears a Michael Jackson, dai Black Sabbath di Ozzy Osbourne alle Spice Girls passando per Cher e Boy George.
E' superfluo precisare che questi, che all'inizio nascono come giocattoli, diventano in seguito veri e propri oggetti da collezione. La Rete pullula di siti dove si comprano/vendono/mettono all'asta bambole e relativi vestitini dei divi del rock.
Non sappiamo ancora se esiste un pupazzo raffigurante Frank Zappa, ma per dirla con le parole del grande maestro: "We`re Only In It For the Money "... (f.tr.)
